1, 2, 3, March!

And away we go. After lining up somewhere near Tom Appleton's old house, we marched to College Avenue, turned right and continued to Central Park. Back in the day, it was on Thursday night, all the way to the school, and ended with a bonfire (correct me if I am wrong). Now the parade is on Friday afternoon and stops at Central Park where a pep rally is held.

These classmates were able to join the parade: Tom Harlan, Susie Butcher Harlan, Susie Bonynge Watson, Ann Sawin Etter, Margaret Conway, Paula Davis, Pam Nesbitt Johnson, Don Basala, Tom Appleton, Keith Clark, Pat O'Hearn, Connie Shike Hilligoss, Dennis Henderson, Norman Brown, Jo Knox, and Dan Hilligoss (who joined us somewhere in the middle).

Now I know that hair color and style as well as amounts of adipose tissue MAY have changed since 1967, but I think you can do this: Match the names to the faces. It will be fun! (Keith was driving the truck and is invisible in these photos).

Things to remember for the next parade: wear really good hiking shoes...sure, it's only a leisurely-paced stroll down College Avenue, but flip-flops do nothing for the back; bring lots of candy...the kids are insatiable; be prepared for any kind weather and watch out for horse excrement; and consider hair color... I could have matched those girls with the half-green hair if I had only done a little work.
The most important thing to remember is shown on our faces...no, not the wrinkles...the smiles! It was a blast!
