The class segued to the VFW to plan our next move. For some, that was the last move of the day.
Beginning the "what have you been doing for the last 5 years?" conversation on Friday rather than waiting until the Saturday night get-together was a fine idea.
The plan to meet at the game on the track near the west goal post failed miserably, but eventually a hearty group of Dragon fans more or less interested in football found each other on the track. Unable to find others, at least one discouraged classmate, it is now confirmed by outside sources, returned to the VFW where the afternoon party continued. Aside from the final score, the big disappointment was discovering that Pam Truman Dillavou's flaming-baton routine redux occurs two weeks hence. (October 19: Be there or be square)

Ronn and Pam with incendiary devices.
OK, I think this proves that we were not totally attentive to the actual game.
Well, Norm, Cheryl, and Tom seem to be watching the action on the field.
ALEDO-WESTMER 27 UNITED 28
(For those who are as behind the times as I am, United includes, among others, Alexis. But I saw no evidence of THE SHOE).
